Meet The Chairman
Olootu Abel Ogooluwa Bankole was born of 1st November, 1948 at Ibogun Akiode village. A frontline industrialist in Ogun state, Olootu A.G.O. Bankole attended Anglican Primary School Ibogun Odejimi later UNA Primary school Adenrele Ifo before proceeding to Ibogun secondary school Egbeda in 1961 as a pioneering student. He later attended Yaba Technical College and the prestigious University of Lagos where he obtained a Bsc (Hons) degree in Business Administration through self-sponsorship.
Ogooluwa Bankole, a widely travelled man was privileged to have both technical and academic education at the Imperial Chemical Industries, Slough in England (Paints Technology). He attended Polytechnic of North London now London Metropolitan University, Holloway, Ciba Geizy laboratory Basel Switzerland where he bagged Diploma in Polymer and Adhesive and also Diploma in Pigment and Colours.
A successful businessman, he established Premier Paints PLC the first Indigenous paints company to be quoted on the Nigeria Stock Exchange since 1994.
His passion for education made him to establish Mercyland International Schools with his wife, Dr (Mrs) Anuoluwapo Bankole in 1994.
Olootu belongs to a number of societies and professional organizations and received several awards.
Patrons of many social clubs and societies, Olootu A.G.O. Bankole is the Agunloye of Gbagura, Abeokuta. Asiwaju Babalaje of Egbaland, Olootu Owu, Abeokuta, Babalaje of Ifo and Balogun of Ibogun land.
He is happily married with Children.
